Book Review: Haze Grey
A fascinating memoir-like novella of Cameron Grey.
Every time I see the title, I have to remind myself that "Grey" is the last name of the protagonist and his wife, which also sets the correct context for the story.
This memoir-esque novella covers the life and times of Cameron Grey, admiral of the infamous Texian Armada from childhood through naval service and introduction to his future wife, Jess (probably my favorite character in the series), and the shenanigans that led to meeting the other members of their rowdy group: David, Calder, and Dom.
Phillips does an excellent job painting a colorful and interesting background for the main protagonist of the series. I blazed through this in a single sitting. Great backstory for any fan of the series.
